Who We Are

Here at Sherborne Utilities we believe in establishing a professional and trustworthy reputation with our customers by offering them the best solutions for their drainage and utilities problems.

Sherborne Utilities, trading as Sherborne Utilities LTD, is a family run drainage company established in 2007 by Steven Hosie, becoming a Limited company in 2011. We carry out drainage and utilities solutions across the South West of England, covering Poole, Poundbury, Weymouth, Bridport, Wool, Dorchester, Portland and the whole of Dorset.

We are very much a “hands on” company and are here to help and advise you on all your drainage problems. Unlike national companies who will try to take card payments before work has taken place, we simply ask for payment or bank transfer after you are happy with the work completed by our engineers.

Since our Managing Director Steve Hosie started up Sherborne Utilities, he has kept his core values and passed them onto the growth of the business — expecting all staff to be fully trained on all tasks within the industry, conducting themselves to the highest standard. All staff hold recognised qualifications and we undertake continuous training, reviewing performances regularly. We have our own training matrix detailing the levels at which our operatives are capable, available on request.

Our Standards

When our teams arrive on site you can be certain that all requirements will be met. We aim for best practice and service — not minimum standards. All vans are equipped with hot water hand washing facilities, method statements, risk assessments and our Company Health & Safety Policy.

Sherborne Utilities LTD holds the ISO 9001 Quality Management Certification and ISO 14001 Environmental Certification. These accreditations allow us to manage every job — from the first email enquiry or telephone call through to final payment — with ease and minimal stress for our customers.

Due to constant investment in staff, training, technology and staying up to date with the latest accreditations, Sherborne Utilities has become a brand name in the South West, employing the best drainage engineers, plumbers and utilities experts — capable of working on any size project.

What We Do

Sherborne Utilities offers a comprehensive range of water, drainage and plumbing services for domestic and commercial clients. Our work spans the full lifecycle of water supply infrastructure — from initial leak detection and repair through to pipe replacement, new installations and associated groundworks.

Domestic & Commercial

Sherborne Utilities works across all property types and project scales. Our domestic clients include homeowners, landlords and property managers dealing with supply pipe leaks, lead pipe replacements, bathroom renovations and plumbing repairs.

Our commercial clients include businesses, local authorities, housing associations and developers requiring water mains installation, large-scale pipe replacement and new development connections.
